Doubles Competition

Information

Following the success of Singles Competition, we are trying out the Doubles Competition regularly, to provide some competitive games for players who may practice pairings for tournaments or matches, or just come with friends to enjoy some games!

Categories & Dates in July & August 2026

Saturday 25 July, 3.45-6.45pm – Open Doubles – Entry Now Open
(We will trial AB, C, DE Level each day, may combine some levels depends on turnout)

Note:
- August dates: 3.45-6.45pm on 8, 15, 22 & 29 August – entry to open later
- Next Pairing Tournaments are booked for 12, 13, 19 & 20 Sept 2026, please save the dates!

Level explanation:
A: Advanced – Stronger BE Bronze & above, or strong records in D1/2 Middlesex league
B: High Intermediate (higher league) – mid-division Middlesex league players, or equivalent
C: High Intermediate (lower league) – lower league players, or equivalent
D: Social & Intermediate players – non-league players
E: Lower Intermediate, Improver & lower level

Notes:
- Ladies may get 5 handicap points in A & B levels, but no handicap points in C, D & E level, however we allow ladies to play one level lower since no handicap points;

St Charles Sixth Form College
St Charles Square, London, W10 6EY
Entrance is the gate opposite no.45 St Charles Square. Turn left from the entrance and walk towards football pitch, badminton building is next to it. (Free parking inside & outside school)

Prize

Medals & freebies would be awarded for Gold/Silver winners. (No cash bonus set as aim to bring cost down so more players can afford it on regular basis)

Entry Fees & Payment –

It is Non-Refundable but can be transferred to other player – £16 per person per day. Please only select one level per day as we may combine some levels based on turnouts. Please select the right level to help plan the grouping.

Games Format:

Round robin, best of three, competition or match format;
More games so everyone would proceed next round with level split.

Registration & How it works on eBadders

ENTRY CLOSING DATE: 3 days before each Competition day. (Will close early if full!)
- Entries are only reserved when payments received. First come, first serve.
- Rules and groupings will be announced 1-2 days before the event.
- First system generated email will be sent once you registered, but your spot is not reserved until we received payments from you.
- Second system generated email will be sent once you paid to confirm your spot.
