Friends Team Cup

(The events to gather badminton friends together for some good games and fun!)

For Team Event, only Captains need to submit the form, then enter team players’ Full Name & Email at Comment; Any players don’t have a team, enter as ‘Find me a partner’.
(Please ignore Partner wording in the form, as system is not yet updated for Team Cup)

Categories & Dates

(11am-8.30pm, play order TBC)

Sunday 12 July 2026: AB & CD Level – Mens Doubles & Hybrid or Mixed Doubles
Saturday 18 July 2026: C & DE Level – Mens Doubles & Hybrid or Mixed Doubles

When levels are combined in group stage, will split from 2nd round.
Teams cannot get to finals for higher level may also join one level lower.

(Next Pairing Tournaments are booked for 12, 13, 19 & 20 Sept 2026 – please save the days)

Level explanation:
A: MD is equivalent to Middlesex div 1-3, WD to div 1 & higher end div 2 standard
B: MD is equivalent to Middlesex div 4-5, WD to div 2 & higher end div 3 standard

C & D players can join either one day or both days.

Please enter and pay ASAP to keep your space to avoid disappointment, as entries will be limited.
We reserve rights to move your entries to more suitable levels with advance notice given.

Cash Bonus and Prize

Cash Bonus set for Team Cup A level, Gold winners only: £200 per team
Medals and small prize for all Gold & Silver winners.

Games Format

Team Cup:
- Normally 4 players form a Team (3 or 5 players allowed)
- Mens Doubles require 4 Men; Hybrid or Mixed Doubles require 2 Men & 2 Women
- For Mens Doubles: Each team plays 4 MD games vs one team
- For Mixed Doubles: Each team plays play 4 XD games vs one team
- For Hybrid Mixed: Each team plays 1 MD, 1 WD & 2 XD games vs one team
(we will decide if play Mixed or Hybrid based on preferences)

- Group Stage: round robin 3-4 teams each group (4-6 games per player), Finals TBC
- Please enter remaining team players’ Full Name & Email at Comment, or enter ‘Find me a partner’ if don’t have a team.

Entry Fees & Payment – Non-refundable but can be transferred to other player

£80 per team. Captain to collect fees first then pay £80 to ISO bank.

Registration & How it works on eBadders

ENTRY CLOSING DATE: 7 days before each tournament day. (Will close early if full!)

- Entries are only reserved when payments received. First come, first serve.
- Rules and groupings will be announced 1-2 days before the event.

- If you are looking for a team, please make the payment only if the team is formed (by yourself or us);
- If you are applying for a CLOSED category, the system will put you on waitlist. Please make the payment only if we can find you a place.

- First system generated email will be sent once you registered, but your spot is not reserved until we received payments from both you and partner.
- Second system generated email will be sent once both you and partner paid confirming your spot.
