ISO Tournaments & Team Cup

(The events to gather badminton friends together for some good games and fun!)

• 5 days tournaments (separate level on each day)
• Locations: St Charles, W10 6EY (lots of free parking inside school)

We are recruiting players to club team sessions practicing for Middlesex & Hammersmith league matches (guests welcome). Please email Sophy if interested.

Categories & Dates (10am-8.30pm, play order TBC)

Saturday 27 April 2024:

• B2: High Intermediate (S/MD/WD/XD)

Sunday 28 April 2024:

• D/C2: Social & Intermediate (S/WD/XD combined, MD split)

Saturday 4 May 2024:

• C1: Intermediate (S/MD/WD/XD)

Sunday 5 May 2024:

• A: County & Advanced (S/MD/WD/XD)
• B1: High Intermediate (limited MD/WD/XD, Singles combined with A1)

Saturday 27 July 2024:

• Team Cup – Mens Doubles & Mixed Doubles: A, B, C, D level split
  May combine some levels depends on entries
  Teams cannot get to finals for higher level can also join one level lower

Level explanation:
A: MD is equivalent to Middlesex div 1-3, WD to div 1 & higher end div 2 standard
B: MD is equivalent to Middlesex div 4-5, WD to div 2 & higher end div 3 standard

C1/C2, B1/B2 are same level, players can join either one day or both.

Please enter and pay ASAP to keep your space to avoid disappointment, as entries will be limited, though you can enter as many categories as your body can take this time!

We reserve rights to move your entries to more suitable levels with advance notice given.

Cash Bonus and Prize (Increased)

Cash Bonus set for winners of A1 category:
Gold winners: £200 per pair (£80 for singles)
Silver winners: £100 per pair (£40 for singles)
Bronze winners: £50 per pair (£25 for singles)

Cash Bonus set for Gold Winners of B1/B2 categories: £50 per pair (£25 for singles)

Cash Bonus set for Team Cup A level, Gold winners only: £200 per team

Medals and small prize for all Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

Games Format

Doubles: plan 5 pairs per group; top 2 pairs each group to 2nd round;
- Consolation/qualification games in place if only 4 pairs per group
Singles: plan 4 players per group; top 2 players each group to 2nd round.

Team Cup:
- 4 players form a Team (3 or 5 players allowed with special rules below)
- Mens Doubles require 4 Men; Mixed Doubles require 2 Men & 2 Women
- Each team form 2 pairs vs 2 pairs from other team (small change from previous event)
- Group Stage: round robin 3-4 teams each group (4-6 games per player), Finals TBC
- If only 3 players in a team, forfeit one game out of four or play as friendly; If 5 players in a team, each player need at least three games in Group
- Please enter remaining team players’ Full Name & Email at Comment, or enter ‘Find me a partner’ if don’t have a team.

Entry Fees & Payment – Non-refundable but can be transferred to other player

£18 per person for doubles (£36 a pair, £72 a team), £19 for singles. For examples, if enter two doubles: 18+18=£36; if one doubles and one singles: 18+19=£37. For team cup, captain to collect fees first then pay £72 to ISO bank. (Increase to £20 per person if enter on the day of event)

ENTRY CLOSING DATE: 7 days before each tournament day. (Will close early if full!)

- Entries are only reserved when payments received. First come, first serve.
- Rules and groupings will be announced 1-2 days before the event.

- If you are looking for a partner, please make the payment only if the partner found (by yourself or us);
- If you are applying for a CLOSED category, the system will put you on waitlist. Please make the payment only if we can find you a place.

- First system generated email will be sent once you registered, but your spot is not reserved until we received payments from both you and partner.
- Second system generated email will be sent once both you and partner paid confirming your spot.
